Marvel Zombies » Zombie Wolverine Dial

  1. The Goal: Create a slow but relentless zombie.

Charge and stealth make Zombie Wolverine as stealthy as a zombie can be, while one-handed blades makes him a threat to any figure on the board. Fun stuff, but it’s the ominous “death’s head” stat that can turn the game on its head: roll for blades damage and gain 1 point of healing for every 1 point of damage inflicted. Roll high for an all-you-can-eat buffet!

Wear him down and body parts start falling off, dragging Wolvie’s speed stat into the crapper.

The downside of being a zombie? That pesky “shoot it in the head” rule. If—at any time—an opponent inflicts doubles damage on Zombie Wolverine, off comes his adamantium noggin for the instant KO.

  2. He’s got an adamantium skull, though…wouldn’t that render him immune to the ‘shoot it in the head’ rule?

    • I dunno…aren’t the vertebrae of your spine/neck — it’s not one long bone coated in adamantium, right? It’s a series of bones held together by meat & muscle (I think). So while you couldn’t break those bones, you could still cut/rip the tissue between the bones and chop Wolvie’s head off, right?

As for shooting him in the head, you could shoot him in the eye and the bullet would ricochet around in his head for like twenty minutes. That’d do wonders for his IQ. And even when his healing factor tried pushing the bullet out, unless it was lined up with his eye socket (or some other opening), the bullet would press up against his adamantium skull and be stuck inside his head, preventing him from fully healing.

The science of adamantium-laced undead mutants!

  3. Suck on that, Boba! WTF! Boba Fett is in Reality! Everyone run away!

    Joking.

BTW, you made a Soviet-Super Soldier/Winter Guard Team, right? In the new Marvel Heroclix Set, they made a Winter guard with the Keywords for all of them are “Soldier, Winter guard, Soviet Super Soldiers”. looks like Wizkids saw your Custom Russians!

    • I wouldn’t taunt Boba Fett. He has an action figure.

As for the Soviet Super Soldiers — yeah, I whipped up customs for a few of them Russkies. So you’re saying that Darkstar, Ursa Major and them other Russian yahoos have official figures now…? I hadn’t seen them yet. Hang on, lemme go rummage around on HeroClix World and see what I can find…

…ah, okay, a Captain America-themed set. HA, they FINALLY made a Batroc! AWESOME! And Mentallo! And Cobra! Diamondback! And the Eel…! I’ve almost made a custom of him about a dozen times.

So many wonderfully obscure guys in this…in this…aw, you gotta be kidding me. Armadillo gets a ‘Clix but STILL no Deathadder? Or Rattler? Or Cottonmouth?

Eh, I kind of get it — Armadillo is a big bruiser and every set needs a big bruiser — but there will be no joy in Mudville until the Serpent Society roster gets its due.

Stay strong, Bushmaster — you’ll have your day in the sun!

SPOILER: I don’t think Bushmaster will ever have a day in the sun. 😦
